Bella Donna Darlene {WNY Portrait Photographer}

 Darlene was a lot of fun to work with, and so interesting to listen to. She came in at the beginning of the month to do a session for her boyfriend who just left for NASCAR school (I didn't even know such a thing existed!). As a self-proclaimed tomboy she came in with an idea and little else, but knew Samantha and I were up to the task of making her look and feel like a million bucks. 

 Bonus points to Darlene for her enthusiasm at wanting to help make our soon to be opened new boudoir studio look like a million! The gorgeous architect has been awesome at dropping knowledge and hooking us up. The new studio will have a pink bathroom with a pink slipper tub, retro kitchen, salon room and a proper boudoir set. Below you'll see the first set, and soon we'll have a second of her at the new studio!

Why did you book a boudoir photo session?  It was something that I have always wanted to do, when I saw a deal come up on FindItQuick I had to jump on it.

Why did you choose Bella Donna Boudoir?  Before purchasing the voucher I looked at some photos on-line and they looked beautiful.  Plus I loved the philosophy on the web site of not having a "one size fits all" mentality.

How did you prepare for your session?  Found some examples of hair and make up ideas, and shopping!  It was a great excuse for more shoes!

How was your boudoir photography the experience?  WONDERFUL!  Melissa and Samantha were amazing to work with.  They made me feel very comfortable through out the entire thing. 

 

How do you feel about your photos?  Gorgeous, I was amazed at what I looked like when everything was done. 

Did you have your Hair & Makeup done with us?  Yes

Why should others?  It's part of the whole experience, a few hours away of pampering and every woman desearves to feel beautiful.

Do you have an interesting story about your experience?  Melissa was amazing about what I could get done with the photos, everything from a calendar to prints on metal.  I loved all of the artistic options, so much more interesting than just basic prints in a frame.

Anything youd like to add?  I can't wait to see more of the wonderful ladies of Bella Donna, I know I will and I am so anxious to help them with their brand new studio space.  Once I see the pink bath tub I know I'll be booking another photo, something with lots of bubbles!

November Boudoir and Pinup Marathon {WNY Boudoir Photographer}

 These beautiful ladies came in for our November Boudoir and Pinup Marathon! I love marathon days because we get such a wide variety of styles and looks from so many different types of good lookin' gals. At this marathon we had a rocker, a pinup kitten, a sexy new mama flaunting her post-baby curves, a menswear session and a sports enthusiast (well, two actually!). Four out of the 5 sessions were for Christmas gifts and the other was a gift for herself. Each had her hair and makeup perfected by the wonderful Samantha K before workin' it in front of the camera. We had an awesome time, loads of fun and, as always, ego boosts were free with each session!

 Thanks so much ladies, you all were fantastic!

 Our Valentine's day marathons are January 28/29 and Feb 5th! Bella Donna S {WNY Boudoir Photographer}

 S's session was too hot to share with everyone, but suffice it to say that she has one VERY happy husband! Her shoot was done on location in her (amazing) home and are some of my favorite images to date. We all enjoyed wine as Samantha did her hair and makeup and I sorted through her selected wardrobe. The former Buffalo Bills cheerleader did a wonderful job as we shot first in her bedroom, onto the staircase, formal living room, kitchen (my favorite set!), finishing in her wine cellar and tasting room. I hope they enjoy the black leather album she ordered for many happy years!

Why did you book a boudoir photo session?

I booked a boudior session as a gift to my husband who is impossible to buy for as an anniversary gift.

I was referred by my sister and am not aware of any other photographers that provide this service.

To prepare I just picked our a few outfits and they did the rest.

Bella Donna Caitlin {WNY Boudoir Photographer}

 Caitlin is just the kind of woman made for boudoir and pinup photography and what you see below is just a small sampling of the images we took. A lot were too hot to handle for the public at large but I think the approved-to-share images illustrate just how great she was to work with. 

 The session was full of lots of "Aha! Let's try this!" sets since she brought an entire wardrobe to choose from and we each brought some fun ideas to the table. One set was based on a picture of Monica Bellucci, another  (not shared here) was burlesque and menswear inspired and the final set was just a subtle nod to the 50's housewife. 

Why did you book a boudoir photo session?

Melissa offered to do the session (as a wedding gift) and I thought it would be a beautiful opportunity to remind my husband why he married me.

Why did you choose Bella Donna Boudoir?

The pictures are always beautiful regardless of the woman's size or shape. I knew that I would look good.

How did you prepare for your session?

I looked at old pinup photos and some current magazines for poses I'd like and looks that I thought would look good on me.

Who are your images for?

The pictures are for my husband but also for myself, so I have proof when I'm old that I was hot. haha.

How was your boudoir photography the experience?

I had a great time and Melissa made me feel very beautiful. She took the time to do multiple sets and stylings so that I had a wide variety of shots to choose from.

How do you feel about your photos?

I love the pictures, they are all so beautiful. My husband wants an album with all the shots in it lol. That makes a woman feel good.

Yes I did.

Why should others?

Samantha was professional, she interpreted what I described and made it even more beautiful.

Do you have an interesting story about your experience?

Only that its not often my husband looks at me the way he looked at me after he saw the photos. We've been together a long time and it was a lovely spark for us. And I've had two kids in the last couple of years so...it was nice to see myself in a way perhaps I haven't since I became a mom. I would encourage any mom to do it so they could feel that way too.

Bella Donna Samantha {WNY Portrait Photographer}

 Funny story about Samantha here. The morning of her shoot my previous MUA had to quit for family reasons, so after rushing and rushing to find a replacement for Sam's session she sent me a text. "I'm a makeup artist, it's no big deal if I do my own!" She showed up looking gorgeous and camera ready and from that day on, she's been the fabulous MUAH for Bella Donna. I couldn't imagine her not being a part of BDB and am grateful for the fabulous friend I've made. Sam, you're the best!

 Why did you book a boudoir photo session?

i wanted to surprise my boyfriend for our one year anniversary i thought it would be something sexy and fun to do while thinking about him!

Why did you choose Bella Donna Boudoir?

A friend had used Bossy for her family session and was planning to have a pinup and boudoir party and after reading into it and getting information from Melissa i couldn't wait to have her do my photo shoot.

How did you prepare for your session?

I spent a lot of time sneaking around getting things i thought my boyfriend would enjoy. I even had to get his brother and family in on it just to get his favorite sports jersey.

How was your boudoir photography the experience?

It was amazing Melissa and Evita both made me feel so comfortable and sexy...which was the best part. They never make you feel as tho your nothing less then perfect and tastefully tell you if something doesn't look 100 %.

How do you feel about your photos?

I absolutely LOVE my photos. I don't think i would be any happier honestly.  

Did you have your Hair & Makeup done with us?

I did not. I am a makeup artist myself so i just took the little extra time before my shoot

Why should others?

i feel like having your makeup done would enhance your pictures especially if your giving the pictures to some because there so used to seeing you in your regular makeup. I over did my makeup as something he wouldn't normally see.

Do you have an interesting story about your experience? 

My interesting story would def. have to be my last set when i was placed on the stares backwards with help from Melissa it made for a killer shot but was a lot of work and I'm pretty sure i almost fell a few times, it however has to be one of my favorite pictures.
Anything you'd like to add?

I would recommend Bella Donna to anyone! I was super nervous and by the end i had no problem showing the skin it was well worth it and i am extremely happy with the outcome i cant wait to share them with my boyfriend and look forward to looking back on these in our future.

Bella Donna Sarah {WNY Boudoir Photographer}

 Sarah's family hosted a fundraiser that I donated gift certificates to and she was one of the winners! Sarah wanted to do a sexy and fun session post-baby for her husband, that started in some lingerie from Torrid (they have cute and sexy lingerie for plus sized bodies) and ended with one of his jerseys of his favorite hockey player. She did her own hair and makeup for the session and showed up ready to shoot. These are some of my favorite shots.

Bella Donna Rose {WNY Boudoir Photographer}

 Beautiful Rose came in for a session back in October (see how far behind I am in blogging?) and enjoyed a glass of wine while being prettied up for her session. She went with a very glam look in studio- including some for her eyes only nudes- and let us talk her in to a more funky style for a couple of outdoor shots. I think it was well worth it! Perfect, Melissa took her time each shot she made sure every piece of clothing, hair and ect was right in place. Samantha did touch ups on makeup as well as helped out showing some neat poses.

How do you feel about your photos?

Love all of them.
